Through collaboration, we have developed a comprehensive Sustainability Policy that guides us on our journey toward carbon neutrality. Together, we've gained invaluable insights into sustainable practices and continue to seek official accreditations like ISO14001 or B-Corp status.

To minimise our environmental impact, we embrace greener practices in energy management. By upgrading to energy-efficient models, such as PC monitors, we strive to reduce our energy consumption. We've also fostered a culture of sustainability within our team, adopting electricity over gas in our warehouse to better monitor and manage emissions.
In our pursuit of sustainability, we are actively seeking a local authority grant that supports SMEs in reducing their carbon footprint. With these funds, we plan to install LED lighting throughout our facilities and explore insulation options for our warehouse.

To further reduce waste, we regularly evaluate our operations for maximum efficiency. At our warehouse, we minimise waste by reusing shipping boxes for outgoing orders. Although our packaging is currently disposed of or recycled by our clients and end users, we are striving to implement a circular system where empties are returned to us for thorough cleansing and reuse. We are also engaging in conversations with our customers, encouraging responsible disposal of empty packaging and products.

Recognising the urgency of addressing climate change, we understand that direct actions alone cannot eliminate all greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, we are committed to participating in an accredited carbon offset program. While carbon offsetting is not a standalone solution, we view it as a valuable tool in our ongoing efforts to make a positive impact.

At Ashmira Botanica, we accept our responsibility to reduce our environmental impact. We deeply respect the scientific call to transition away from fossil fuels and limit temperature rise to 1.5°C. Sustainable practices and best habits are at the heart of our business, embodied by our dedicated team. Together, we pledge to prioritise the well-being of our planet for a brighter, greener future.

Our dedication to sustainability extends to our product range. We are proud to offer a line of products that are entirely vegetarian or vegan. Even the glitter we use in our waxes is sourced from seashells. We’ve also taken steps to ensure our wax is biodegradable, going beyond industry standards. In our commitment to sustainability, we've transitioned from plastic packaging to environmentally friendly alternatives like aluminium and glass. Our candles, creams, face and body polishes, are all thoughtfully housed in metal tins.
